Wednesday Club - October 1



PS2 games
day was postponed from last week to this week. Come join us in the library program room from 3:30 - 4:30. We now have even more Karaoke and DDR selections and we have two Guitar Hero offerings.
As always, snacks will be provided.

Bishop Hendricken Open House


Bishop Hendricken, an all boys high school in Warwick, RI, will be holding an open house on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00pm. You can tour the campus, meet faculty, coaches, and students, and view classroom presentations.

Wednesday Club




Wednesday Club is at it again!


This Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 in the library program room come create your own picture frames (or treasure chests). Snacks and craft supplies provided.

There are several vacancies for library pages. This is a part time position, 8-15 hours per week, and pays minimum wage.


Pages shelve library materials or prepare them for shelving and complete other related duties.

2009 JFK Profile in Courage Essay Contest



Attention budding writers and others interested in earning money for college. The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and Fidelity are sponsoring an essay contest. The top five finalists will win $500, second place winner receives $1,000 and the top spot earns $5,000. The essay must be 1,000 words or less, and describe and analyze decisions, actions and risks of a public official demonstrating public courage as defined by John F. Kennedy himself. Contestants must be in the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Sorry, no junior high entries please.
